Mobile Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy

Mobile Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy

Extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) is used in equine orthopaedics to treat conditions such as suspensory ligament injuries, collateral ligament desmitis, bucked shins, kissing spines and splints.

The shock waves are emitted and focused onto the area of damaged or inflamed tissue.

The treatment can be useful in cases of both acute injury and chronic pain that have been refractory to conventional conservative treatment.

It typically involves three treatments at two-week intervals.

Our ESWT machine is fully mobile, and treatment can be administered onsite, removing the need for the horse to be transferred.
